This article applies to any TAB 320 equipped with the Nautilus P2.5, which includes 2021 and 2022.
Introduction
Dewinterizing your nuCamp TAB 320 involves draining antifreeze, sanitizing the system, and flushing it with fresh water. This process is typically done in the spring, once the risk of freezing temperatures has passed.
1. Drain the Antifreeze
- Empty the gray tank:
- Remove the gray tank cap.
- Pull the gray tank lever and allow the antifreeze to drain completely.
- Drain the low-point hot and cold water lines:
- Open the low-point drain valves and let antifreeze drain from the system.
- Once drained, close the hot and cold drain valves.
- Close the gray tank and replace the cap.
2. Prepare a Sanitizing Solution
- Mix your sanitizing solution based on your preference.
- A stronger solution can be immediately rushed, while a weaker solution will need to sit to sanitize effectively.
- Recommended: 1/4 cup per 15 gallons. Let rest for 12 hours.
- The video suggests 1/2 cup of bleach per gallon of water in a bucket. This can be immediately flushed.
- Set the Nautilus panel to Sanitize mode according to the key on the sticker.
- Ensure the bypass valve is still in bypass mode from winterization.
3. Siphon the Sanitizing Solution
- Connect a garden hose to the Sanitize port on the Nautilus panel.
- Place the other end of the hose into the bleach solution.
- Turn on the water pump to start pulling the bleach solution into the freshwater tank.
4. Run the Sanitizing Solution Through the System
- Once the freshwater tank is full, switch the Nautilus panel to Dry Camp mode.
- Turn on the water pump.
- Open each water fixture and run the solution until the water stops running pink.
- Don’t forget to run the external shower as well.
5. Drain the System Again
- The sanitizing solution is now in the gray tank.
- Remove the gray tank cap and pull the gray tank release to drain.
- Turn off the water pump.
- Disconnect the hose from the Sanitize port.
6. Refill the Freshwater Tank
- Set the Nautilus panel to Tank Fill mode.
- Connect the garden hose to the City Water connection.
- Monitor the tank level to avoid overfilling.
- Once full, switch the Nautilus panel back to Dry Camp mode.
7. Final Fresh Water Flush
- Turn on the water pump.
- Run fresh water through all faucets and fixtures to remove residual bleach solution.
- Once complete, disconnect the city water connection.
- Switch the hot water bypass back to normal mode.
