Overheat Red Failure

Red overheat fail is air bubbles in the glycol lines.

The easiest way besides manual bleeding would be to raise the front or rear of your unit to make the expansion tank ‘higher’. So, if you have a 320s you would want the rear to be raised, and if you have a clamshell with a wardrobe where the tank is up front you will want the front raised.

The Tab 400 will either have the Glycol tank up front, or in the wardrobe depending on the configuration or model year.

Leave your unit in this position for at least an hour to allow air pockets to work their way out. In the meantime, do a hard reset on the Alde by unplugging the 12V Supply wire going into the circuit board of the Alde – pictured below:

Look for the words “12V Power supply” or “12V Power”

Here is a schematic of the Plugs in the Alde service hatch – 12v power supply is circled in black on the second picture.

It will also be labeled on the white sticker inside the service hatch where these wires are located.

After 10 min plug the 12v plug back in (this will reset the alde)

If the Overheat code was not cleared by tilting your unit and resetting the system I would recommend running the Circulation pump on level 5 – but no longer than an hour. Afterwards, turn your pump back to the factory setting of 3.

MANUALLY BLEEDING:

If you are still receiving the fault code the only option left is to manually bleed the system. Depending on your model the bleeder will be in different areas.

Example: on the Tab 400 it is in the bathroom underneath the White Alde Vent.

Remove the screws holding the White vent cover to access the bleeding valve

You will be able to locate the bleeding valve

Pre 2021 Tab 320 S / CS-S

On the left side you will find the Bleeder, on the right side the expansion tank. After bleeding the system make sure to check the fluid level on the tank on the right side/Drivers side of the unit

The Bleeder valve is down there – you will have to look straight down

2021 TAB 320:

The bleeding valve is on the opposite side but still in the rear of the unit. The bleeding valve now has a riser on it, so it is easier to access:

Cirrus Truck Camper:

There are bleeder valves in the front corners of the Bed area – as well as the bathroom just like the TAB 400
