Camping at high altitudes can be an unforgettable experience, offering breathtaking views and crisp mountain air. However, if you plan to use your Alde heating and hot water system while camping in higher elevations, there are a few key things to keep in mind—especially when running on LP (liquid propane).
Using High Altitude Mode
If you're camping at elevations above 3,000 feet, your Alde system may require adjustments to function efficiently.
- 2025 Models (Alde 3030): These units come with a factory-installed high-altitude mode that you can easily enable through the touchscreen control panel.
- Older Models with 3020: These units come with a factory-installed high-altitude mode that you can easily enable through the touchscreen control panel.
- Older Models with Alde 3010: If you have an older nuCamp unit equipped with the Alde 3010, you’ll need to purchase a high-altitude kit from your local dealer to ensure proper operation.
Why Is This Important?
At higher elevations, the air is thinner, which can affect how propane burns. Without the proper adjustments, your heater and water system may struggle to operate efficiently or may shut down unexpectedly.
